Dosha Test for Highly Sensitive People

This is an eight question dosha test for highly sensitive people. It is designed to facilitate understanding of the ayurveda body types or doshas in order to make it easier for HSPs to sustain lifestyles that minimize the chance of HSP disease and disease symptoms. The three doshas are Vata, Pitta and Kapha.

Be aware that a Vata imbalance can create confusion about your body type.  If you feel that more than one answer applies, pick the answer that reflects you as a child or over most of your life. You can take the test again to select answers that reflect you current situation. The difference may reflect imbalances in your system or that you have the attributes of more than one dosha.

Everyone has all three doshas as part of their constitution.  The ratio of the doshas determines your predominant body type.  People who have a body type of all three doshas - which is rare - would have dosha relationships fairly equal in number: 1:1:1.  In a two dosha body type situation, two doshas are relatively equal and the third much weaker.  In a single dosha body type, one dosha stands out as being much stronger than the other two. Analysis by an ayurvedic practitioner will clarify your dosha type and any imbalances that you may have.

Each of the eight questions has three choices on the dosha test.  Select the one that describes you the best.
